Pearl Knotted Labradorite Necklace
Now that summer has come to an end it’s time to make the transition into fall. What does the new season have in store for your wardrobe? We recommend Jay’s latest necklace: a 36” knotted strand of faceted labradorite beads strung on cotton thread. This is a throwback to Jay’s vintage years when he was stringing necklaces on thread. (Did we really just say Jay and vintage in the same sentence??)
Artisans carefully hand faceted the gemstones, displaying the brilliant labradorescence (if you need to refresh your memory, reread our blog from October 2017 called A Primer on Escences, in Essence). In between each bead is a hand tied knot for protection, plus, in the event the string breaks (heaven forbid!) the beads won’t fly off and roll underneath every piece of furniture in the room.
This is a versatile necklace. Have fun experimenting with all the different ways to wear it. Try tying it in a loose knot or loop it in a lariat style. Of course, you can always double it, or even wrap it around your wrist as a bracelet. Go ahead, be creative! It’s great for layering, too!Top it with a 16” and a 20” necklace for a rich silhouette. And don’t forget those popular cowl neck sweaters this season! The 36” length will allow the necklace to drape beautifully over those long, bulky necklines with no problem.
Also, you’ll want to add the matching earrings and ring for an out-of-this-world beautiful set!
The good news is you can add this Mine Finds masterpiece to your collection when Jay presents it during his October show on HSN.
Until next time…Keep on sparkling!
